New Chair for CCRCC

Tom McCracken Unanimously Elected Chair of the Chaffee County Republican Central Committee

At our January 2026 meeting, the Chaffee County Republican Central Committee (CCRCC) unanimously elected Tom McCracken as Chair.

Tom steps into the role following the departure of Todd Tipton, who recently stepped down due to new business responsibilities and family commitments. We are grateful for Todd’s time, leadership, and service to the committee, and we appreciate the steady work he contributed during his term.

Tom is a committed member of the Chaffee County community and brings a strong record of public service. Many in the county came to know Tom through his 2024 campaign for County Commissioner, where his grassroots approach and focus on listening to voters earned broad support. He also brings years of experience as an educator and school administrator, along with a practical, steady leadership style that reflects the values of our community.

As Chair, Tom will lead the CCRCC through key milestones in 2026, including spring caucuses and assemblies, the Lincoln Day Dinner, and the November election cycle. He is focused on strengthening communication, improving our branding and outreach, and expanding grassroots involvement throughout Chaffee County.

“Chaffee County is my home, and this role is an opportunity to serve the people and places that have shaped my life,” said McCracken. “I’m committed to working together to keep our local party strong and focused on the conservative principles that matter to our community.”

We look forward to the year ahead and invite all Republicans and like-minded community members to get involved as we prepare for a critical election cycle.
